MAAT Museum, Lisbon
Av. Brasília, 1300-598 Lisboa
We will be doing a private tour at the iconic MAAT Museum in Lisbon. We will be seeing a newly launched exhibition on the tour, and then will move to the Cafe for coffee or lunch, as well as have time to look at the permanent exhibits.
Featured exhibit: Hervé Di Rosa, Di Rosa Archipelago:
Making a parallel with the journeys narrated by Jules Verne, this exhibition is an invitation to explore and discover new worlds; a journey led by Hervé Di Rosa over more than forty years. Hervé Di Rosa invites us to discover forms of creation that have been placed on the margins of art recognized by museums, critics and history. At the Oval gallery, the artist draws a new map of the limits of art: comics, traditional art, naïve art, rough art, psychedelia, cinema, commercial art. A student at the National School of Decorative Arts, Hervé Di Rosa began his career as a painter in 1979. At just 20 years old, he exhibited in Paris, Amsterdam and New York. Di Rosa is the author of numerous art books and other publications and, since 1981, his work has appeared in over 200 solo exhibitions, and is represented in numerous international public and private collections.
