Parents have an extremely important role in their child's leadership journey.
In honor of Women's International Month, Yasmine McDougall Sterea, (founder of the Free Free Association, TASIS parent, speaker, writer, and educator who advocates for the physical, emotional, and economic freedom of girls and women) will talk to parents about girls' and young women's freedom, and how parents can support their children's journey to leadership from a young age.
In today's rapidly changing world (social media, AI, globalization) girls are exposed to situations that might make them question their abilities to become leaders. Girl leaders are girls who learn the importance of self esteem and self confidence, are conscious of their emotional health, and are able to detect and learn tools to prevent abusive situations (bullying, girl competition, and others) from an early age. Learning how to use their voice and contribute to their community are key to becoming successful leaders.
In this event, parents will gain consciousness and awareness of what girls can experience and learn practical tools to support their child’s leadership journey. We hope you will join us in celebrating our future girl leaders!
