The 'Wait Until 8th' initiative and the TPA Parent Education Committee are pleased to announce Dr. Aric Sigman as a guest speaker for all TASIS parents and staff. The proliferation of smartphones among children and teenagers is closely tied with a crisis in mental health. Anxiety, social isolation, self-harm and suicide are all on a steep rise, while academic performance and sleep are suffering. Our kids’ brains are being rewired, and as parents it is our responsibility to do something about it.
Join this webinar with Dr. Sigman as we learn about how smartphones impact our children’s lives and their communities. It isn’t too late for us to make a change. Dr. Sigman will help us with practical advice aimed specifically at parents and teachers.

Dr. Aric Sigman's Bio:
Dr. Aric Sigman has published a number of peer-reviewed medical papers on this subject and is the author of the book Remotely Controlled. He is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood and contributing author to its five recent reports on children’s mental health. He is a Chartered Biologist, Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a Chartered Scientist awarded by the Science Council.
